Lunch and Learn Session - Topic: The Power of Language: Stigma in type 2 diabetes

DESMOND presented a Lunch and Learn session with the Leicester Diabetes Centre around diabetes stigma.

Dr Michelle Hadjiconstantinou, Chartered Psychologist, Research Fellow in Behavioural Science and DESMOND Academic Lead, presented on the topic of “The Power of Language: Stigma in type 2 diabetes”, this was then followed with a discussion about how this topic affect the delivery of DESMOND.
